After the release of Rick Jamison's "Open Spaces" (see below for more info on that CD) some of the recording artists agreed to start a new band called Copper Canyon. The band enjoys great success to this day, due in large part to the "Tales from the Canyon" CD. I wrote about half of the songs on the CD, sound samples of which can be heard by clicking here, or on the album cover to the left.

This self titled album features several original tunes written by me. I can't thank the Murphy's and Todd Kimball enough for giving me a chance to record some of my first efforts in Bluegrass songwriting on this album. It also featured songs written by Rick Jamison and my dad, Rick Cornish. This band disbanded when Graham and Toni had a second child. Once their kids are old enough, they plan to start a family band.

I was proud to be asked to play on Rick's first solo CD project. Little did any of us know that it would lead to the formation of a band called Copper Canyon. Later, Rick would leave the band to pursue other endeavors, but the band would continue to play under the name Bound to Ride.
